Transfer talk: Joaquin Seys, Victor Osimhen and Bradley Barcola

The summer window is stepping up as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all work on more signings before the deadline. Arsenal are said to be plotting a shock bid for Jack Hinshelwood as they continue to chase England duo Ezri Konsa and Jarell Quansah, while Victor Osimhen could yet become Mikel Arteta’s statement attacking signing as the Gunners also remain in the race for Julian Alvarez.

Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Joaquin Seys as an alternative to Lewis Hall, while they are also eyeing Eduardo Camavinga and Carlos Baleba. Chelsea could return with another offer for Alex Scott as they prepare to sanction a raft of further exits potentially including Pedro Neto, while Liverpool have been offered new hope over Bradley Barcola as they also close in on a contract agreement with Rio Ngumoha.

Tottenham are stepping up their moves for Cody Gakpo and Savinho as they also target Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, while Manchester City are set to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi as Barcelona make a fresh approach for Rodri. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Arsenal offered new Victor Osimhen hope

Victor Osimhen may just have left the door open to a potential move to Arsenal before the summer transfer deadline.

The Nigeria striker’s name is believed to have come up last week during discussions between the Gunners and Turkish giants Galatasaray involving Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.

Osimhen has been asked about those Arsenal rumours this weekend, saying: “There are always rumours in transfer seasons.

“I will take care of my business. I am focused on my job, then we will see and think further.”

However, reports in Turkey insist that Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has ruled out selling Osimhen at any price, with Tottenham and Manchester United also linked amid claims of a rejected offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal worth €130m.

Arsenal plot shock Jack Hinshelwood bid

Arsenal are set to make a shock bid for Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood, reports claim.

The England Under-21 international has emerged as a surprise transfer target for the Gunners, who are already said to have held talks with his representatives.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are now preparing an official offer for Hinshelwood, with Brighton believed to be demanding a fee between £43m-£51m for their highly-rated academy graduate.

However, Manchester United and Manchester City are also both said to be weighing up moves for the player.

Todibo nearing West Ham exit

Jean-Clair Todibo seems to be slowly approaching a move away from West Ham.

Reports in France suggest he has agreed personal terms over a loan to Marseille.

Olympique are yet to open club-to-club talks with West Ham, though, and he will not be able to move to Marseille before other outgoings have been agreed.

Liverpool 'ready new Bradley Barcola bid' as transfer hopes boosted after £47m deal confirmed

Liverpool are reportedly set to lodge a new bid for Arsenal target Bradley Barcola next week with renewed confidence after Paris Saint-Germain signed Mika Godts.

The Reds have been embroiled in protracted talks for the player throughout the summer as they look to add firepower to Andoni Iraola’s front line.

It is thought that talks have been slowed by a difference of opinion regarding the player’s valuation, with PSG standing firm on a price tag around £145m.

It was reported by The Athletic last week that Liverpool were almost ready to turn their attention to new targets.

However, there is hope for the Reds after PSG confirmed the signing of Godts in a deal which could be worth as much as £47m.

Delap wants to stay in England

Liam Delap hopes to stay in the Premier League if he is to leave Chelsea this summer.

The striker was markedly underwhelming in his first season with the club and has been linked with an exit as Xabi Alonso looks to trim the fat in his squad.

Como are said to be interested in a deal, but new reports from talkSPORT say he is hoping to remain in his home country.

Stones makes a splash in Milan

John Stones scored just 12 minutes into his Inter Milan debut today.

The English centre-back joined as a free agent earlier this summer after leaving Manchester City, and has made a fast start to life in Italy.

Facing Real Betis in a pre-season friendly, he was introduced off the bench after 70 minutes, and scored after 82.

Like a fine wine.

Arne Engels sets clear West Ham target as record £25m transfer confirmed

Arne Engels has set his sights on steering West Ham back to the Premier League after his transfer from Celtic was confirmed.

The Belgium international, who has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, moves for a fee which Standard Sport understands could rise as high as £25m if add-ons are met. That makes him the most expensive signing in Championship history, beating the £20.8m Burnley spent to sign Florentino Luis in July.

West Ham on Sunday will play their first game of Championship football since they won promotion to the top flight in 2012, visiting Burnley, and Engels has already set his sights on delivering the club back to the Premier League as soon as possible.

“It's a really nice project to come into and try to go back to the Premier League,” he said after signing.

Fernandez booed at Stamford Bridge after Man City saga

Enzo Fernandez was booed by the Chelsea fans as he returned to the matchday squad for the first time this summer.

Fernandez returned to training at Cobham this week but there has been intense speculation over his future. Manchester City, now managed by former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, have interest in the midfielder.

Chelsea imposed a deadline of 5pm on Friday for clubs to meet their £120million valuation for Fernandez.

That passed without any offers being made for him and Chelsea now expect the player to remain at the club until at least next summer.

It remains to be seen how strongly that stance is tested, but it was not a warm welcome for Fernandez on his return to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal target Osimhen: 'I am focused on Galatasaray'

Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen said he is focused on the task at hand as surprise links to Arsenal emerge.

The Nigerian striker has been linked with a move to Arsenal, who are keen to add a blockbuster name to their attack this summer.

He could be available for as little as £58m should the Gunners opt to move. Asked to comment on the links after Galatasaray’s Super Lig opener on Saturday, though, Osimhen played down rumours.

"There are always rumours in transfer seasons,” he said.

“I will take care of my business. I am focused on my job, then we will see and think further."

His situation will be one to watch in the final days of the transfer window.

Clubs queue up for Nkunku

Several clubs are interested in signing Christopher Nkunku this summer.

The Frenchman has been left out of Ruben Amorim’s plans at AC Milan and transfer listed.

Per reports in Italy, Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are both interested in restoring him to the Bundesliga, while Newcastle could bring him back to the Premier League.

Further unnamed clubs in Spain and England are also said to be keen.
