Man Utd may consider reviving their interest in former Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, according to talkSPORT reporter Ben Jacobs.
Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Jacobs said the news that the Frenchman has been made available for transfer by AC Milan could spark a move for the player before the transfer window closes:
“Man United are looking at various forward options. One of the most interesting – let’s see whether anything develops – but Milan [are] now prepared to sell Christopher Nkunku, and remember, when the whole discussions were taking place over [Alejandro] Garnacho to Chelsea, at that point, Man United really liked Christopher Nkunku.”
Considering Nkunku’s poor form since making the switch to Italy, it is not a surprise that the vast majority of fans on X are very much against an approach for the player:

Why a move for Nkunku is not a good idea
The France international has really found life tough since leaving the Premier League for Milan. He scored 8 goals in 35 appearances, with 5 of them coming from the penalty spot.
Considering that Serie A isn’t exactly the strongest league in the world, it seems clear that Nkunku would struggle to make an impact if he were to return to English football.

Who could Man Utd sign instead?
A lot depends on the transfer budget. Jacobs also mentioned that the recruitment team have discussed Freiburg’s Igor Matanovic, but any bid for the Croatian international would likely hinge on Joshua Zirkzee leaving.
However, a move for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has been ruled out. The 25-year-old was on the shortlist of forward targets last summer, but he is reportedly no longer under consideration.
