Galatasaray have reportedly ruled out the prospect of selling Victor Osimhen to Arsenal before the transfer window closes, with the Turkish champions determined to retain the Nigeria international despite growing interest from the Premier League.
Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination for Osimhen in recent days, with sporting director Andrea Berta understood to have discussed the striker’s availability during talks with Galatasaray. Those discussions have reportedly also involved Arsenal forwards Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.
However, Galatasaray’s position appears increasingly firm. Reports in Turkey indicate that club president Dursun Özbek has made clear that Osimhen is not available for transfer this summer, effectively closing the door on a potential move to ARSENAL before the deadline.
The Turkish champions’ stance is particularly significant given the extraordinary level of interest in the 27-year-old striker. Galatasaray are reported to have already rejected a £111 million offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, demonstrating their determination to keep one of the most important players in their squad.
Osimhen has established himself as a key figure since moving permanently to Galatasaray from Napoli. The club confirmed the €75 million transfer in July 2025, with the striker signing a four-year contract.
His goalscoring record has helped fuel speculation over a possible return to one of Europe’s major leagues. Reports indicate that he has scored at a prolific rate for Galatasaray since initially arriving on loan, while helping the club secure successive Turkish league titles.
Arsenal’s interest comes as Mikel Arteta’s side continue to assess their attacking options. The Gunners have reportedly explored several high-profile forwards during the summer and are understood to view Osimhen as an attractive option should a deal become possible.
