How much do Arsenal and Manchester City get for their Community Shield appearance?

Community Shield prize money: The winners of the Community Shield won't get a financial reward for reigning victorious. Instead, either Arsenal or Manchester City will just enjoy lifting the trophy at the end of the match.

Where does the money go?: The money raised from the game is instead split between charities and redistributed throughout the football pyramid in England. Ticket sales, sponsorships and TV revenue are all counted towards these charitable funds.

What is the FA Community Shield?: This game is an annual match to kick off the English football season. It is played between the previous season's Premier League winners and the FA Cup holders - with the league runners-up being included in the match should the same team win the league and cup double.

Match date and time: Arsenal take on Manchester City at the Principality Stadium in Wales on Sunday, August 16. Kick off is scheduled for 3pm.
