Community Shield rules for Arsenal vs Manchester City clash
Will the Community Shield go to extra-time?: Most cup games require 30 minutes of extra-time if the sides are drawing. But if the match between Arsenal and Manchester City is level after 90 minutes then there will be no additional time.
What will happen?: If the score is level, then the game will go straight to penalties. Five takers on each side are chosen and if all ten spot kicks are scored, then it will go to sudden death.
Additional rules: The Community Shield differs from a normal Premier League game in that it is played at a neutral venue rather than at a club's home ground. Also, managers are allowed to make up to six substitutions rather than the usual five.
When and where is the Community Shield?: Arsenal take on City on Sunday, August 16 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm.
