Chelsea are demanding £40million for Liam Delap as Nottingham Forest emerge as a club to watch in the race for the striker.
The latest Liam Delap Chelsea transfer development comes with Xabi Alonso continuing to reshape his attacking options before the summer window closes.
According to talkSPORT, Chelsea want £40m for the 23-year-old, while Ben Jacobs has identified Nottingham Forest as another side monitoring his situation.
Forest join Newcastle United and Everton among the Premier League clubs interested in Delap.

Liam Delap Chelsea transfer race grows
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town for £30m last summer after scoring 12 Premier League goals during the 2024/25 campaign.
His first season at Stamford Bridge proved more difficult, and Chelsea are now prepared to consider a departure if their valuation is met.
Como have also shown interest, but talkSPORT reports that Delap would prefer to remain in the Premier League. That could give Forest, Newcastle and Everton an advantage if any of them decide to turn their interest into an offer.
Chelsea’s attacking hierarchy has also become increasingly competitive.

Chelsea remain in a strong position financially. They are not being forced into a sale and a £40m deal would represent a £10m profit on the fee paid to Ipswich only last year.
Forest are not yet reported to have submitted a bid, but their presence gives Chelsea another potential buyer as the club look to resolve Delap’s future before the window closes.
