Pedro Neto’s Chelsea future has taken another twist after Fabrizio Romano named Al-Hilal and Tottenham as possible destinations for the winger.

Manchester City have already made contact with Neto’s representatives over a potential move, but Romano now reports that Chelsea’s valuation is complicating their pursuit. City are understood to believe the asking price is significantly too high.

Speaking in his latest transfer update, Romano said supporters should “keep an eye on Pedro Neto and Al-Hilal”, with the Saudi Pro League club identifying the Portugal international as a target.

Tottenham are also described as another possibility.

Pedro Neto Chelsea transfer race takes fresh turn

Chelsea have been demanding around £70million for Neto, according to talkSPORT, despite the winger originally joining from Wolves for £54m in 2024.

That valuation has so far made a potential Manchester City move difficult.

City’s interest is not new. Fabrizio Romano previously reported that the Premier League side had made direct contact with Neto’s camp, with the winger viewed as a possible replacement if Savinho leaves for Tottenham.

The latest development creates a potentially different route out of Stamford Bridge.

ReadChelsea previously reported that Chelsea were not actively looking to sell Neto despite increased competition following Morgan Rogers’ £117m arrival. The Blues were nevertheless prepared to consider a substantial offer.

Competition in Xabi Alonso’s attack has continued to increase. Rogers scored on his Stamford Bridge debut on Saturday, while Joao Pedro struck twice as Chelsea beat Real Sociedad 3-1 in their final pre-season friendly.

Al-Hilal interest could now become especially significant if City refuse to move closer to Chelsea’s valuation.

Tottenham provide another Premier League possibility, but no bid from either club has yet been reported.

Chelsea therefore remain in control of Neto’s future, although Romano’s update suggests the number of possible destinations is growing as the final weeks of the transfer window approach.
