Quick Takeaways
The poor performance of all three quarterbacks will be a major concern for everyone involved with the team. While no one is expecting any of the players to be the long term answer, they are hoping for an acceptable level of performance this year. Failure to get that could lead to both the Head Coach and the General Manager departing, since ownership was clear they expected to see more wins.
Watson looked the best of the three but he fell apart at times despite them bench most of their best defensive players. If he is struggling against some backups, he is likely to face even more pressure once the regular season starts.
Watson's numbers looked drastically different when facing pressure in the first half. Per Next Gen Stats:
- When under pressure: 2/4, 17 yds, 4.3 yds/att (61.5 passer rating)
- When facing no pressure: 9/11, 109 yds, 9.9 yds/att (108 passer rating) https://t.co/5DHSwHxtXx

Questions will continue to be asked about adding more talent into the quarterback room but it feels unlikely this late in the year.
Over the next couple of days I will be taking a deeper dive into the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Each will come with an updated roster prediction as we get closer to what the 53 man roster might look like.

Cleveland Browns 2027 Age Guardrails Draft Boards (OBR VIP)
The guardrails examine how Andrew Berry has operated in the past and then project this forward into the next draft class. While he could draft an older player or someone less athletic than they have ever done before, it is a solid starting point for players he is most likely to target.
