La Liga giants Barcelona have sewn up their 2nd transfer agreement in the space of mere hours on Sunday. This comes amid confirmation that the Blaugrana have found a breakthrough in talks with Manchester City over Rodri.
Midfielder Rodri has of course been heavily tipped to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital throughout the month to date.
After the 30-year-old informed Real Madrid of his desire to instead link up with Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana, the Camp Nou brass set about thrashing out the terms of an accord with their counterparts at The Etihad.
Ahead of the expiration of Rodri’s contract terms in 12 months’ time, the two parties spent the last couple of weeks haggling over an appropriate fee.
And as alluded to above, on Sunday, Barcelona finally appear to have landed their man… Fresh off Deco and co. sealing a deal for João Cancelo, market journalist Fabrizio Romano reports:
‘RODRI TO BARCELONA, HERE WE GO! Deal agreed for Spanish midfielder to join Barça from Man City, all done for the former Ballon d’Or winner.’
