Heading into his ninth NFL season, Noah Brown is on the move for the fourth time in his career. This time, he is headed to the desert.
The former Ohio State wide receiver has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Sunday, offering Brown a fresh start following an injury-plagued 2025 season with the Washington Commanders. The terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Brown joins the Raiders with a well-traveled and impressive résumé, given how his career began. A seventh-round pick (No. 239 overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2017 NFL Draft, Brown spent five seasons in Dallas (2017-22) before moving to the Houston Texans for the 2023 campaign and then two seasons in Washington D.C. (2024-25). For his career, the 6-foot-2, 225-pound receiver has appeared in 91 games with 38 starts, hauling in 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns. Since 2020, his 13.7 yards-per-reception average is tied for 24th best in the league among players with at least 125 catches over that span — a testament to Brown's ability to be a big-play threat even in a limited role.

This past season was a rough one for Brown. He played just four games for the Commanders in 2025, battling groin and knee injuries before landing on injured reserve in mid-December. It capped an otherwise solid two-year run in Washington, which included one of the signature moments of the Commanders' 2024 season — a fourth-down, game-winning touchdown catch from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels against the Chicago Bears, a play that became known locally as the "Hail Maryland."
For Buckeye fans, Brown's path back to relevance has been a long time coming. Brown was a true freshman on Ohio State's 2014 national championship team. He appeared in all 14 games that season as a backup, playing primarily on special teams. He suffered a broken tibia and fibula in fall camp ahead of his sophomore year, forcing him to redshirt in 2015. Brown returned for a breakout 2016 campaign, highlighted by a five-catch, four-touchdown outburst against Oklahoma that turned heads around the country and helped cement his draft stock heading into 2017. He finished his final season in Columbus with 32 catches for 402 yards and seven touchdowns.
Brown finished his Ohio State career with 33 receptions for 411 yards and seven touchdowns. He also returned one punt for 23 yards.
