Tensions at Anfield are rising after Andoni Iraola's first pre-season with the Reds came to a close on Sunday. An experimental XI drew 0-0 with Como in a behind-closed-soors fixture before another lineup beat the Italians 2-0 at Anfield later in the day.
New summer signing Ronald Araujo made his Liverpool debut off the bench in that latter result. That was in addition to a goal on debut for £60million man Jeremy Jacquet, who inspired confidence with some impressive turns in front of the Kop.
But Liverpool still have transfer priorities in need of resolution before the transfer window closes in a fortnight. And there are new developments in the hunt for their main target, Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola.
