Enzo Fernandez
Chelsea's typically dramatic transfer window is showing no signs of slowing down, with the Blues braced for another flurry of business before the September 1 deadline.
The Enzo Fernandez saga is still rumbling on despite Chelsea making it clear they do not want to sell the Argentina midfielder. Manchester City failed to meet the Blues' £120million asking price before Friday's deadline, but with the window still open, the possibility of a departure cannot be completely ruled out.
Chelsea need to make room in their squad and balance the books after a busy summer of incomings, with a number of players potentially heading for the exit before the window slams shut. Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson and Tosin Adarabioyo are among those whose futures remain uncertain, while other departures could yet emerge as Xabi Alonso continues to shape his squad.
With transfer deadline day fast approaching, Chelsea can expect plenty of transfer activity in the days ahead. Stick with football.london's live blog for all the latest news, rumours and developments from Stamford Bridge.
Al-Hilal set for 'direct talks' with £70m Neto deal on cards
Pedro Neto could be heading for a Chelsea exit this summer, with the club set to hold 'direct talks' with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal this week.
The Portugal winger has attracted significant interest during the transfer window, with Tottenham and Manchester City also interested. However, Al-Hilal appear to be leading the race after reportedly agreeing personal terms with Neto last week.
Chelsea are willing to consider selling the 26-year-old, but only if their valuation is met. The Blues are understood to have set an asking price of £70m for the winger.
Neto's future has become increasingly uncertain following Xabi Alonso's arrival as Chelsea manager. The Spaniard looks set to use a back-three system, with wing-backs taking the roles traditionally occupied by wingers. Neto may therefore have to adapt to a new position or consider his options elsewhere.

Rodri's impending move to Barcelona could give Manchester City fresh impetus in their pursuit of Enzo Fernandez.
City have reportedly agreed a £65million deal with Barcelona for the Spain midfielder, with £51m of the fee to be paid up front. The move would leave Enzo Maresca's side short of a key figure in midfield, while also giving them a significant financial boost with just a fortnight of the transfer window remaining.
That could strengthen City's hand in their pursuit of Fernandez, despite Chelsea refusing to budge from their £120m valuation of the Argentina international. City were unable to meet that figure before Chelsea's 5pm Friday deadline, after which the Blues declared the midfielder off the market.
However, with Rodri on his way out, City could yet reopen the door by offering Chelsea favourable terms for Fernandez.
