ethan nwaneri
AC Milan have been working on the signing of Ethan Nwaneri for ‘weeks’, a journalist claims, but a further attempt is needed.
Nwaneri was not even on the bench for Sunday afternoon’s Community Shield between Arsenal and Manchester City in Cardiff. Fabrizio Romano confirmed after the announcement of the squad that the teenager will leave the Gunners before the window closes.

He seems to be a profile that the Milan directors like for the position of attacking midfielder. His obvious talent and the fact that he is left-footed means he ticks boxes for what Ruben Amorim wants on the right side of the attacking trident.
‘A name they like a lot’
What are the chances of getting a deal done with Arsenal in the final two weeks of the window? Matteo Moretto – in a video on Fabrizio Romano ‘s YouTube channel (via MilanNews) – took stock of the situation.
“Nwaneri is a name Milan have been working on for weeks, a name they like a lot. An offer was made: a loan with an option to buy for €40m, but it was rejected,” he began.
“The key condition, as of today, August 16th, for Arsenal to let him go is that it be a permanent deal, or at least an obligation to buy. Arsenal are currently not open to a loan with an option to buy, but we’ll see if the conditions change and if Milan have other opportunities.”
