Ibrahim Mbaye has been told that he can leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports, as Liverpool pushes for a potential deal to sign the winger in the transfer window.
The 18-year-old has faced an uncertain future for much of the market so far, with just two years remaining on his contract and doubts over his playing time moving forward. Since then, links have persisted, with several clubs showing interest. Liverpool is one of those teams keen on Mbaye, with the Senegalese international offering vital cover in the right wing position following the exit of Mohamed Salah.
While the Reds have held interest in the promising young forward, a switch has required several things to fall in place, particularly when it comes to PSG's business in the summer transfer window so far.
With Bradley Barcola also expected to leave, amid heavy links with Liverpool, the European champions have needed some attacking reinforcements to help sanction exits.
Those deals have now gone through, with the signings of Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres, and Mika Godts adding a blend of versatility, experience, and potential for the future to the ranks.
That now leaves too many options available to PSG, and following the omission of Mbaye and Barcola from the latest playing roster to face off with Lens, there is a clear suggestion that a move could be on the cards.

Transfer talks could ramp up soon, as Fabrizio Romano reports that Mbaye can leave PSG soon, with talks taking place over the star's next destination.
Liverpool has spoken with the player's agent, with the star seemingly excited by the project at the club, but the valuation remains a stumbling block between the two sides at this stage.
It appears to be a similar situation surrounding Liverpool's move for Barcola, with the Reds pushing hard to land the winger, but with the fee set by PSG coming in too high at this point in negotiations.
The difference with Mbaye, compared to Barcola, is that several teams appear to be in the race for the 18-year-old.
Reports have suggested that Manchester United is among eight teams interested in the Senegalese forward, adding some potential pressure on getting any deal done.
It sets up a busy few weeks for Liverpool to get the forward ranks sealed for the new season ahead, with two key transfer targets at delicate stages of discussions over a move.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds will land Mbaye, Barcola, or both.
But there is certainly scope for an impressive double swoop to be completed.
