Transfer expert namechecks two of the clubs interested in Arsenal attacking midfielder Nwaneri
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has namechecked AC Milan and Galatasaray as two of the clubs showing interest in Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri.
The England U21 international was discussed during Galatasaray's talks with Arsenal over Gabriel Martinelli, but it is believed that the attacking midfielder is biding his time before deciding on the best option ahead of the transfer window closing.
Amid speculation surrounding Nwaneri's future, he was left out of Arsenal's squad for Sunday's 3-0 Community Shield win over Manchester City, further suggesting that he may not be in manager Mikel Arteta's plans, despite featuring heavily during pre-season preparations.
Arsenal's signing of Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United could make it even more difficult for the English-Nigerian teenager to break into the midfield if he remains at the club.
Apart from Galatasaray and AC Milan, Premier League and German clubs are also monitoring the situation of the Nigeria Football Federation target, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille.
Romano revealed that Nwaneri's future will depend on the decision he makes alongside his representatives and family.
"Talking about Arsenal, Ethan Nwaneri, a lot of interest. AC Milan made contact with Arsenal, German clubs made contact with Arsenal, Galatasaray made contact with Arsenal, and then Premier League clubs are coming," Romano said on his YouTube channel.
"There is a feeling at Arsenal that Premier League clubs are going to knock on the door and try to get a deal done for Ethan Nwaneri, so there is going to be a lot of movement around the boy. Then obviously it's going to be Nwaneri to decide.
"The expectation is to see a lot of proposals, a lot of movement. Nwaneri will be a very interesting market opportunity, but at the same time, it's the boy deciding with his agents, family and father, so we have to wait and see what's going to happen."
Nwaneri, the youngest Premier League player in history, has ten goals and two assists in 51 appearances for Arsenal.
