It was a tough day at the Principality Stadium, with City second best to the Premier League champions in Cardiff in Enzo Maresca’s first game in charge.
Riccardo Calafiori opened the scoring just 24 seconds in, having rushed forward from left-back into the box.
Kai Havertz doubled Arsenal’s lead just before the half hour mark, heading in from just a few yards out.
Martin Odegaard put the game beyond us a few minutes after half-time, latching on to a pass into the box and sliding home.
We had some chances of our own, with Antoine Semenyo in particular coming closest but seeing his strike denied by David Raya.
