Packers' Tucker Kraft Makes Bold Case For New Contract 1

The Green Bay Packers are among the teams many consider as one to watch out for in the coming 2026 NFL season. And if they are to go places, star tight end Tucker Kraft is going to be needed to play a significant role in the team’s passing attack.

Kraft is targeting to be ready for action by Week 1 of the season, as he continues his recovery from a serious knee injury he suffered in 2025. He has been activated from the PUP list and has joined the team in practices on the field during training camp.

The former South Dakota State star tight end has also started partaking in 11-on-11 drills again.

Will Kraft Receive a Contract Extension From The Packers Soon?

also one that is being closely monitored by fans and media.

To date, the 25-year-old Kraft has yet to get a contract extension offer from Green Bay, which has signed some of its players to massive new deals in the offseason.

For Kraft, he believes he will be putting pen to paper sooner rather than later.

“That’s the goal. I think we’re a different team when I’m out on the field and I think that’s obvious. I think everyone in this organization, every fan, knows that — without sounding arrogant,” Kraft said, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Kraft was selected by Green Bay in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft before signing a four-year, $5.5 million contract with the Packers. That deal only has one more year left, but Kraft seems confident that Green Bay will get him the extension he has been patiently waiting for.

So far in his career in the pros, Kraft has recorded 1,551 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns on 113 receptions through 42 games.
