Fabrizio Romano has [shared](https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/2089215897143755011?s=46&t=rLe6YXFjD9zFzopBvUMkdw) that Getafe have opened talks with Liverpool to sign mdifeilder Stefan Bajcetic, with the transfer at the early stagesat this point.
The Spanish midfielder has had a stop start career at Liverpool due to injuries and fans have been unable to see the best of some of the sparks that they celebrated in the early parts of his career.
Stefan Bajcetic joined Liverpool in December 2020 from Celta Vigo for a fee of around £224,000, joining the academy initially. Initially the Spaniard joined as a defender and after some time in the academy transitioned into midfield.
In the 2022-23 season, Bajcetic massively impressed Jurgen Klopp and after making his debut in the 9-0 win over Bournemouth he went on to break a number of records.
He became the youngest player for Liverpool in the Champions League when he played against Ajax and then became Liverpool’s youngest Champions League starter when he was back by Klopp to start against Real Madrid. That game may not have gone well as Liverpool got hit with the best of Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema.
His momentum built in his first season was stunted by recurring injuries which saw him only play three times in the 2023-24 season.
While he struggled to get back into first team proceedings he went on loans to Salzburg and back to Las Palmas.
