Liverpool defender drops massive injury return hint on social media

**Liverpool have a few defenders out injured at the moment, which has proved to be a bit of a headache for Andoni Iraola.**

Despite agreeing a deal to sign for the club in January, Jeremy Jacquet only made his Liverpool debut yesterday, as was the case for loan signing Ronald Araujo.

The likes of Conor Bradley, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni also remain on the sidelines.

However, if recent reports and his own social media are anything to go by, the Italian isn’t far from making a return.

Earlier today, Lewis Steele claimed that the young Italian has stepped up his return and will aim to be back by the end of September.

“Giovanni Leoni is beginning the final stages of his rehabilitation from a lengthy knee injury and hopes to be back by the end of September.”

And now, Leoni has taken to Instagram as he shared a picture of himself from his Liverpool debut as reports emerged that he is close to returning.

The Italian defender was unbelievable on his debut but suffered an ACL injury, which came as a cruel blow as he hasn’t played since.

However, Liverpool have high hopes for him and the Anfield faithful are waiting patiently to see him back on the pitch.
