FC Barcelona are looking to sell Marc Casadó as he does not feature in Hansi Flick’s plans, according to a new report which says the 22-year-old midfielder felt upset when he was informed he would not take part in upcoming friendlies.
A graduate from La Masia, Casadó has been a part of Barça since he was 13. He is said to be looking for a new club, hoping to stay within Europe’s elite. He has received offers from a pair of Saudi clubs, but reports say he wants to avoid leaving the top leagues.
His agent, Jorge Mendes, is said to be helping him find a club, with AC Milan a potential destination. However, a deal has not advanced. Barça are looking for at least 30 million euro for him, but at the moment no one has offered that, apart from Saudi clubs.
A Spanish international, Casadó could have been sold earlier but the Catalans were said to have felt the other offers for him were too low. With just two weeks left in the transfer window, Barcelona may need to accept a lower offer if they want to move him on this window.
With the imminent arrival of Rodri from Manchester City, Barcelona will have lots of top midfielders and a desire to bring in money and save on salary.
