Liverpool have already said goodbye to Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson as free agents while welcoming Jeremy Jacquet and Victor Munoz on permanent deals, along with Ronald Araujo on a season-long loan from Barcelona.
With replacements for several departing players now secured, Liverpool have turned their attention to other areas of the squad.

Bradley Barcola has been linked with a move to Anfield for much of the summer, despite Paris Saint-Germain’s desire to keep the 23-year-old for the upcoming season.
Barcola is not expected to return to the PSG squad, according to RMC Sport. The winger and Ibrahim Mbaye were left out of PSG’s 1-0 defeat to Lens in the Trophée des Champions on Sunday.
Barcola is unlikely to feature against Rennes in their opening Ligue 1 fixture. We exclusively revealed that Liverpool and PSG have reached an agreement in principle over Barcola’s transfer. The deal is worth around €128m, including achievable add-ons.
However, no agreement has been formally signed or completed. Barcola has two years remaining on his PSG contract and is not expected to sign a new deal. Barcola has been on Liverpool’s radar since 2023, when the Reds first scouted the winger.
This summer, PSG have also strengthened their attack with the arrivals of Ferran Torres, Mika Godts and Maghnes Akliouche, potentially pushing Barcola further down the pecking order.
Luis Enrique refused to discuss Barcola or Ibrahim Mbaye’s futures after the match, reiterating: “I’ll talk about the situation after the transfer window has passed.”
Liverpool are now running out of time to complete deals for Barcola and Mbaye ahead of their Premier League opener against Newcastle United on Sunday. Liverpool have meanwhile reached an agreement with Mbaye on personal terms, including a five-year contract.
While Bayer Leverkusen are also believed to be interested in the 18-year-old forward, the player is no longer considering their interest following Liverpool’s advances.
