In a recent report, The Sun mentioned that Manchester United are set to rival Arsenal for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Jack Hinshelwood. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the English talent to Old Trafford in this transfer window.
Hinshelwood’s Decent Campaign In The Premier League
Hinshelwood enjoyed an impressive campaign at the English club recently as he managed to put in a handful of influential displays for them at the centre of the park. The 21-year-old found the back of the net four times and earned four assists in 30 matches for the Seagulls last season in various competitions.
The English youngster is currently one of the most gifted central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, it is no wonder that Man United are in the mix to sign him this off-season.
His current contract at Brighton will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to land him on a cut-price deal in this transfer window.

Will Hinshelwood Be A Good Option For Manchester United Boss Michael Carrick?
Hinshelwood doesn’t mind working hard for his team defensively off the ball. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has the vision to create a few meaningful chances for his teammates to score.
The English talent is full of energy and running in the middle of the park, and can contribute by scoring and creating some important goals for his team. Hinshelwood mainly functions as a defensive midfielder, but can also play as a holding midfielder if asked to do so. He already has some experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
We can expect Hinshelwood to bring more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s midfield. He is good enough to fight for a regular starting place at Old Trafford in the coming years.
At 21, the future looks quite bright for Hinshelwood as long as he continues to improve with each season. He would be an excellent option for the Red Devils to pursue in the long run, so Carrick should consider stepping up his efforts to sign him this summer.
