Despite Trade Rumors, Kayshon Boutte Gave Patriots Coach Example 'For Life'

Most NFL players go through tough times, but how they handle them is usually completely different.

Some players want to vent to the media, others want to post things on social media, and many more just don't want to be as good a teammate as they need to be when things aren't going right.

That could be something that wide receiver Kayshon Boutte decides to do with the [New England Patriots](https://nesn.com/new-england-patriots), but according to everybody who's spoken about the situation, it's far from that.

In fact, amid all of the trade rumors surrounding Boutte, he's done nothing but say the right things day in and day out.

His coaches have been very impressed by how he's handled all the outside noise, including Patriots wide receiver coach Todd Downing. Downing recently spoke to reporters about his professionalism and said it's an example he'll use for the rest of his career.

“It’s an example I will use for the rest of my coaching career, the way that he has just been a pro and shown up every day,” Downing [said](https://www.patspulpit.com/new-england-patriots-news/133595/kayshon-boutte-lasting-impression-wide-receivers-coach-todd-downing), H/T SB Nation.

No matter what happens with the former LSU standout, it doesn't feel like there's been any bad blood in New England.

This is really just a matter of a young wide receiver wanting to get more opportunities in a different offense, something the Patriots can't really offer him. It's unfortunate that it has to go this way, but it's part of the business nowadays.
