2026 NFL Top 100: 5x Pro Bowler Drops a Pair of Spots on List 1
It has been an intriguing offseason for some members of the 2026 NFL Top 100 list. One of these players is considered to be a franchise star who was almost traded in the offseason. While that can mess with the mentality of a player, it could be additional fuel for others. Let’s take a closer look at who it is and what it means for them going into the 2026 season.

After being in trade rumors (and briefly traded to the Baltimore Ravens), Maxx Crosby has been in the headlines. He dropped a pair of spots on the 2026 NFL Top 100 list to be 24th place. NFL’s Jeremy Bergman wrote the following blurb explaining the five-time Pro Bowler’s placement on the list:
“After a whirlwind offseason in which Crosby was still a Raider despite trade rumors, then briefly a Raven but not really, and then a Raider again, the pass rusher is back where he started: in Las Vegas and the top 25 of the Top 100. Before Crosby’s winter of discontent, the Raiders star earned his fifth straight Pro Bowl nod after a fourth career 10-sack season. It was par for the course for The Condor. The supposedly consummated swap with Baltimore was nullified due to a failed physical, and Crosby landed back in Sin City, where he intends to play for life.”
In the 2025 season, Crosby played 15 games and recorded 73 total tackles (45 solo, 28 assists) with 28 tackles for loss, 20 quarterback hits, 10.0 sacks, one interception, six pass deflections, and a pair of forced fumbles. Entering his age-29 season, he can still be a star for a team looking to improve. However, there is a chance that Crosby can be a valuable trade piece if the season turns sideways early on.

The 2026 NFL Top 100 list is voted on by the players during the previous season. It highlights who they believe are the premier players in the league entering the 2026 season. Each weekday, two names are revealed on social media until we reach the top 10 remaining. At that point, only one name is announced each weekday until the entire 2026 NFL Top 100 list is published on Friday, Sept. 4. It will be intriguing to see how many edge rushers rank higher than Maxx Crosby.
