Jofre Torrents has sent out a heartfelt goodbye message to culers after sealing a switch from Barcelona to Ajax.
The defender has completed a transfer to the Eredivisie side on a contract that runs until 2030. He’s thanked Barcelona for his time at the club and says it will always be his home.
“Hello Culers, after nine seasons, the time has come to close a very important chapter of my life. I can only express my gratitude to all the coaches, teammates, and everyone at the club who helped me grow both professionally and personally over these years,” he posted on Instagram.
“I leave with a heart full of memories, friendships, and moments that will stay with me forever.
“It has been an immense honor to defend this badge and to be able to say that Barça has been—and will always be—my home. Thank you for everything. Long live Barça, today and always.”
Torrents joins a host of players including Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ansu Fati, Inaki Pena Ferran Torres, Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo in leaving the club this summer, with more exits expected before the transfer window closes.
