**Liverpool have been linked with a move to sign Pedro Neto this summer, but Chelsea have officially priced the Portugal international at £100m.**
According to a recent claim made by journalist Simon Phillips last week, the Blues wanted £70m to let him leave. Phillips said on [YouTube](https://youtu.be/qCLOXEi09eg?si=5AelXeC2EZ-QW9Xr): _“I mentioned Neto a moment ago._ _He has got a lot of clubs interested in him, and he’s, again, he’s not a player who’s looking to leave necessarily, but he’s certainly been open to the interest coming in for him and seeing what offers he gets._
_“Chelsea would sell him if the money’s right._ _I believe similar sort of money that they are asking for Malo Gusto, which is reportedly around £70-£75m. I_ _don’t think Neto’s quite that much, but it will be around that sort of ballpark figure._
_“So, they would definitely sell if a club pays the money._
_“I wouldn’t say he’s on the sort of fire sale or fire loan list that Chelsea are going to be working through the next three years, but he’s certainly a player they would sell, and it’s one to watch._
_“And he’s got interest from Tottenham, Liverpool are interested in him, Manchester City, which has been public,_ _I have heard from a source over the weekend that Arsenal are also interested in Neto.”_
The Reds were never likely to pay the previously quoted price of £70m for Neto, but a new claim officially removes them from the ongoing transfer talk surrounding the winger.
Chelsea name new £100m asking price for Neto amid serious interest from Saudi Arabia
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
According to [the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-16057901/chelsea-pedro-neto-al-hilal-transfer.html?ico=authors_pagination_desktop)‘s Kieran Gill, Chelsea have set a new price of £100m for Neto, effectively ruling out most clubs, including Premier League big hitters like Liverpool and Man City.
Gill writes: _“Chelsea want close to £100million if they are to sell Pedro Neto this summer, sources inside the Stamford Bridge club have told Daily Mail Sport. Neto, 26, has had several interested suitors in this window from the Premier League and beyond. Saudi side Al Hilal have been heavily linked this week._
_“It is understood no formal bids have yet landed with Chelsea for their Portuguese international, but they are aware of others’ appreciation.”_
Liverpool need a new right winger but £100m for Neto is just insanity
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The report from Gill and the Mail goes on to suggest that Chelsea have seen the £120m fee agreed between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid for Yan Diomande and have used it as a guideline for the valuation of Neto.
That said, he’s just not a £100m player.
Liverpool remain interested in PSG’s Ibrahim Mbaye as a target for the right wing, while talks are also ongoing for Bradley Barcola.
Barcola is certainly a player worth such huge money, but even then Liverpool are correct to haggle PSG down from their reported £145m valuation of the Frenchman.
