The 10 most popular players in SuperCoach EPL as season kickoff deadline looms

Football360’s SuperCoach EPL expert Daniel Garb told viewers last week that you need to pick both of Erling Haaland and Alexander Isak in your squads and it looks like you’ve taken his advice.

Manchester City and Liverpool’s key marksmen are resoundingly the two most chosen players in the game as we head into the final week before the season kicks off; Haaland because of his phenomenal record, and Isak because, due to his injury riddled first season at Liverpool, has been priced as a cheapie too tempting to ignore this campaign.

“You actually put Haaland in first and work backwards,” Garb said on Football360’s SuperCoach EPL season preview.

“Don’t make the mistake and play it safe. Just get him in…

“The risk is too high…it is just the way you have to do it.”

Haaland is an exorbitant outlay but it hasn’t deterred the masses from following that advice, where ultimately, the differentiator won’t be Haaland, nor Isak, but the most successful of the ‘other’ strikers.

Garb opted for , and it looks like the masses are undecided, with a massive drop off to Gabriel Martinelli at 16% for the next chosen striker – an odd choice given his future at Arsenal is still in the air, but arguably because at £3,900,000, he is a great cheapie.

**Erling Haaland: 64%**

**Price: £13,150,000**

**Alexander Isak: 50%**

**Price: £4,790,000**

**Luka Vuskovic: 46%**

**Price: £3,500,000**

The 19-year-old Croatian defender is tipped to get minutes for Brighton & Hove Albion this term, and SuperCoach managers have leaped on his price, also in the hope the Seagulls continue their form from last season.

**Bruno Fernandes: 44%**

**Price: £14,230,000**

Can you fit Haaland and Fernandes into your squads? That seems to be the aim for most players so far, with the Manchester United talisman set for another influential season at Old Trafford.

**Florian Wirtz: 39%**

**Price: £6,9700,000**

Wirtz, like Isak, are players whose SuperCoach fees could skyrocket if they play to their potential, so it is just too tempting not to back them now at a steal. A lot is expected of Liverpool’s German star in his second season at the club.

**Oscar Bobb: 35%**

**Price: £4,420,000**

Bobb now plays for Fulham but has name recognition from his time at Manchester City; a great price, and a player at a lower fee that is likely to play regularly and can contribute meaningful points.

**Leny Yoro: 29%**

**Price: £3,900,000**

Manchester United beat Real Madrid to sign the French defender two years ago from Lille; now 20, he is ready to make his mark. Given the durability of Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martínez, it is possible he will feature under Michael Carrick, and at that price, and with the expectations around Manchester United, it seems this season’s SuperCoach cohort have done their homework.

**David Raya: 29%**

**Price: £8,060,000**

Haaland and Fernandes are two bankers; signing the reigning Premier League winner’s goalkeeper to anchor your side also makes total sense. You know what you’re getting with the Spaniard – if you can afford him.

**Cole Palmer: 27%**

**Price: £8,770,000**

Palmer, like Wirtz, could see his price rise rapidly if he rediscovers his best. At this fee, he is a joker in the pack in SuperCoach EPL. If Chelsea are to return up the ladder, he’ll be picking up points.

**Jeremie Frimpong: 24%**

**Price: £4,170,000**

If you can find a defender who can jag you attacking points, you’re onto something. It is no surprise to see the Liverpool fullback’s popularity, because it’s another price you could call a steal.
