Everton continuing to sound out right-back targets, Castagne among names

**[Everton](https://ReadEverton.com) are continuing to sound out right-back targets as they seek to fill the problem position, according to The Athletic’s Patrick Boyland.**

They hold an ongoing interest in Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz, while Fulham’s Timothy Castagne is one of several other names on their list.

Munoz has been a long-standing target given his Premier League pedigree, though there have been suggestions Moyes has reservations about deploying him specifically at right-back.

Castagne, 30, has been at Fulham since 2023 and offers Premier League experience on either side of defence, having previously played for Leicester and Atalanta.

The right-back position has been a priority for Moyes for well over a year, following Seamus Coleman’s departure, and remains unresolved with the September 1 deadline approaching.

Everton have already added Hayden Hackney, Christian Norgaard and Brennan Johnson this summer, but Moyes has been open about the club needing more incomings before the window shuts.

Nothing appears close on either Munoz or Castagne at this stage, with Boyland’s report suggesting Everton are still weighing up their options rather than closing in on one name.
