Everton are reportedly showing an interest in signing Burnley striker Zian Flemming in the summer transfer window.
Flemming caught the headlines in the Championship at the weekend after he struck twice to help Burnley secure a draw against West Ham United.
The 28-year-old striker scored 11 Premier League goals for Burnley last season, despite their relegation, and he's continued his goalscoring form this term.
Flemming made the move to England ahead of the 2022/2023 season, joining Championship side Millwall. After scoring 22 league goals in 89 matches for them, he earned himself a move to Burnley.
At the age of 28, Flemming is yet to represent his country, but he's become a key player for Burnley since his move in 2024, initially on loan before completing a permanent transfer.

Everton eyeing Zian Flemming
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Everton are interested in signing Burnley striker Flemming in the summer transfer window.
The Dutch striker is also attracting interest from his home country and clubs in Italy and France. Burnley are hoping to keep the 28-year-old in the summer window, but a host of clubs are keen on securing his signature.
Speaking after Burnley's draw with West Ham at the weekend, manager Nicky Hayen has urged his striker to remain at the club, but he's admitted he expects interest in Flemming to grow after his performance.
“It didn’t help that he scored two times today! No, I’m really pleased with his performance and also the way he scored the penalty, he scored the second goal, and of course Zian is really important not only with his goals but also how he plays for us. But also, as I said, the way we play also suits him but maybe it’s the best choice for him to stay because he can be even more important than before."
Whether Burnley can keep hold of him remains to be seen, but you'd imagine it won't be cheap for clubs to prise him away after the start he's had to the season.
Flemming move wouldn't make sense for Everton
A move to sign Flemming in the summer transfer window doesn't make a lot of sense for Everton.
At the age of 28, Flemming is in his prime years, and isn't going to develop into a top-level Premier League striker that many desire. I'd understand Everton bringing in a striker to try take the team to the next level, but it doesn't feel like Flemming would be that man.
Of course, Flemming hit 11 Premier League goals in a poor Burnley side last year, but it wasn't long ago he only scored seven goals in the Championship from 46 games.
For me, signing a striker shouldn't be a priority, and certainly not a player of Flemming's calibre. I'd rather avoid stunting the development of Thierno Barry than spend the kind of money Burnley would want for Flemming.
