Burnley striker Zian Flemming has interest from Everton, as well as clubs in Italy, France and the Netherlands.
Burnley are looking to add to their squad in the closing weeks of the transfer window, but there is still a chance of further departures at Turf Moor too. Among the key assets drawing interest from elsewhere is talisman Zian Flemming.
In a fresh update, reporter Ben Jacobs says that the Clarets’ star striker is being targeted by Premier League side Everton. Although the Toffees are the only side named at present, it is added that Flemming has admirers across Europe in Italy, France and the Netherlands.
Burnley FC Roundup
28-year-old Flemming is under contract at Turf Moor until 2029 having signed a four-year deal upon his permanent arrival last summer. He moved on an initial loan deal from Millwall and has grown into one of their most important players.
Zian Flemming will be a crucial player for Burnley this season
Dutch striker Flemming was one of few positives for Burnley as they suffered relegation from the Premier League. He proved he can cut it in one of the best leagues in the world, scoring 11 goals in 29 games fo r a relegated side.
As such, a move back to the level would be richly deserved. However, his importance to the Clarets means they will be hoping to fend off late interest in his services.
Flemming’s value was made clear in the 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday. It was a good team performance from Nicky Hayen’s side, who were good value for their comeback point, and their no.19 was key as he scored both to pull the hosts back level.
His goals showed the potency he boasts, first having the composure to slot home from the spot before firing home in a crowded area in stoppage time. No other striker can match his goal threat at Turf Moor, making him a key player to hold onto.

The Verdict: Why Burnley could now retain Zian Flemming
As briefly mentioned before, more departures from Turf Moor are likely. However, in the case of Flemming, Burnley may fight harder to ensure they can keep him onboard.
Speaking on the matter earlier this summer, Hayen stated he was confident Flemming would not force a move or kick up a fuss if interest arises. That has proven true so far, and it will help the Clarets retain his services.
Not only this, but losing someone so important late in the window is far from ideal. Flemming would be a very tough player for them to replace at this time and in such a competitive striker market.
Everton, or any other admirers, may have to pay over the odds to just get Burnley to the table now.
