Tyjon has been a prolific goalscorer throughout his time in the Blackburn Rovers youth system. He has been an eye-catching performer at various age groups and was a regular for the U21s.
Last season, Tyjon scored four goals and assisted two in 10 Premier League 2 appearances. He scored four the season before, whilst also featuring in National League Cup matches for Rovers U21s too.
He has also represented England at various youth levels, so there is no hiding how well he is rated both within the Rovers setup and beyond. His first Championship appearance for Blackburn Rovers came at 16 years and 178 days against Bristol City.
It is a shame to see how Tyjon’s situation has panned out, especially given the clear pathway from the academy to the first-team for young players at Ewood Park. Some will wonder whether the chaotic saga is truly down to the forward himself, or whether those representing him have been too influential.
