Liverpool winger Kieran Morrison is attracting strong interest from League One side Sheffield Wednesday ahead of a crucial decision over a loan move.
Morrison’s involvement in pre-season reduced significantly following Liverpool’s return from their tour of the United States, with discussions ongoing over the 19-year-old’s future.
An unused substitute in the 4-2 loss to Monaco at Anfield, he then played 13 minutes off the bench in the behind-closed-doors 0-0 draw with Como.
That comes with a host of clubs registering their interest in a season-long loan – and Sheffield Wednesday are chief among those.
This Is Anfield understands there is strong interest from the Owls but a deal is not yet finalised.

Morrison and his representatives will assess their options in conjunction with Liverpool to make the right decision in what could be a pivotal stage in the teenager’s young career.
Having captained the U21s last season and made two appearances for the senior side, the versatile attacker is also a target for clubs in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the Championship.
But priority will be given to whichever sides can offer the most consistent first-team football, which may be more likely in League One.
It could be argued that Morrison has already proven he is above third-tier level, but without a regular starting role to test himself a move to a league higher up the pyramid would risk stalling his development.
Sheffield Wednesday, hit with an 18-point deduction, were relegated from the Championship last season but began their new campaign with a 2-1 win away to Leyton Orient on Saturday.
With Henrik Pedersen remaining as head coach, the Owls have already brought back club legend Barry Bannan after six months at Millwall, along with 10 new signings including forward Louie Barry from Aston Villa.
Who else is set to leave Liverpool?

Morrison will not be the only Liverpool talent to leave on loan in the coming weeks, with a number of players considered available if the right opportunity presents itself.
Among those are Luke Chambers, Will Wright, Keyrol Figueroa, Wellity Lucky and Isaac Mabaya, while there will be late decisions on the likes of Lewis Koumas, James McConnell and Calvin Ramsay.
Koumas is still in contention for a regular role in Andoni Iraola‘s squad for the new campaign but the Wales international is also attracting interest from a host of clubs.
Ifeanyi Ndukwe has briefly returned to Austria having been granted time off rather than being involved in either of the friendlies against Como, and he will need to leave on loan in order to secure a UK work permit.
