Chelsea Academy striker Jashayde Greenwood has signed his first professional contract with the club following his 17th birthday, marking another significant step in the young forward’s development.
Greenwood joined Chelsea ahead of the 2025/26 campaign after making the move from Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he had already begun to make his mark at Under-18 level.
The striker linked up with Chelsea’s Under-18s squad and has continued his development within the club’s academy setup. His arrival came after a promising breakthrough season at Wolves, where he gained valuable experience against older players despite still being a schoolboy.
During the 2024/25 season, Greenwood made seven appearances in the Under-18 Premier League for Wolves and found the net once. Those outings provided the forward with an early taste of elite youth football and helped establish him as a player with significant potential.
His move to Chelsea represented the next stage of that progression, giving Greenwood the opportunity to develop within one of England’s leading academy systems.
The signing of a first professional contract is an important milestone for Greenwood, who is now set to continue his career at Stamford Bridge while seeking further opportunities to progress through CHELSEA’s youth ranks.
