Squad number announcements mark the formal start of a new campaign and often carry personal or historical significance. New arrivals select digits with meaning while established players retain their familiar shirts. Vacant numbers left by departures create options for any late additions.
Tributes to family members or previous wearers add emotional weight to the choices. Young players stepping into higher numbers signal their growing status within the squad. The full list provides clarity ahead of the Premier League title defence.

Arsenal have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2026/27 season. New signings have selected their preferred shirts while several numbers have become available following summer departures.
Bruno Guimaraes has taken the number 39 jersey, which he has worn throughout his career in tribute to his father, whose taxi carried the same digits in Brazil. Christos Tzolis has opted for number 17, previously worn by Oleksandr Zinchenko and made famous by Alexis Sanchez and Emmanuel Petit. Illan Meslier has chosen number 30, last used by Raheem Sterling.
The exits of Jakub Kiwior, Christian Norgaard and Leandro Trossard have left numbers 15, 16 and 19 available, while 18, 25, 26, 27 and 28 also remain vacant for any further arrivals before the window closes.
