It's been a busy summer and some transfer dealings have gone under the radar.
Argentina v Switzerland: Quarter Final - FIFA World Cup 2026
Rounding up some of the best transfer news you might've missed this summer.
It's been a busy summer in the world of transfers, with the likes of Elliot Anderson, Morgan Rogers and Bruno Guimaraes making the biggest and most expensive moves so far. But with the expanded World Cup taking up a lot of time midway through the summer transfer window, there have been plenty of deals that have gone under the radar.
From Manchester United confirming transfers to Chelsea signing a World Cup finalist, there are some moves that many might not realise actually took place. As such, Express Sport have picked out nine of this summer's transfers that you (probably) didn't know happened...
Callum Wilson to Brentford
Brentford v Eintracht Frankfurt - Pre-Season Friendly
Callum Wilson was relegated with West Ham United last summer, but that hasn't stopped him from securing a return to the Premier League.
Now into his mid-30s, the experienced striker joined the Bees on a free transfer and has penned a one-year deal with the club.
He'll provide depth to a Brentford squad aiming to challenge for the European positions.
Valentin Barco to Chelsea
England v Argentina: Semi Final - FIFA World Cup 2026
Valentin Barco made headlines for the wrong reasons this summer after being criticised for antagonising Jude Bellingham during England's World Cup semi-final.
The versatile Argentine came through at Boca Juniors and was previously on the books at Brighton.
He joined Chelsea from their sister club RC Strasbourg earlier this summer, and will be involved in Xabi Alonso's squad this season.
Taiwo Awoniyi to Coventry
Nottingham Forest v Bayer Leverkusen - Pre-Season Friendly
Taiwo Awoniyi first came to the Premier League in 2022 when he signed for the recently promoted Nottingham Forest.
The striker is now moving to yet another Premier League newcomer, this time Coventry City.
The Nigerian international will be looking to help keep the Sky Blues in the top flight following their recent promotion.
Jack Butland to Hull City
Rangers v Celtic - William Hill Premiership
From one Premier League newbie to another, Hull City have had a very busy summer preparing for the top flight.
One of their new arrivals is Jack Butland, who joined the Tigers last month from Rangers.
The 33-year-old signed a two-year contract with Hull, who have spent the last nine years outside of the top tier.
