£70M Premier League star told to make move–Mikel Arteta wants star at Arsenal!

Alan Pardew has backed Ezri Konsa to make a move to Manchester United, insisting the Aston Villa defender would be an ideal signing for the Red Devils despite continued interest from Arsenal.

Konsa has emerged as one of the most sought-after English defenders in the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly monitoring his situation throughout the summer as Mikel Arteta considers further defensive reinforcements.

The 28-year-old has established himself as an important member of the Aston Villa squad and has developed into one of the league’s most reliable centre-backs. His performances have also helped him become a regular for England, further increasing his profile ahead of the new season.

Pardew believes Konsa’s qualities would make him particularly well suited to Manchester United, who continue to reshape their squad under their current management structure.

The former Premier League manager views Konsa as a defender capable of providing both reliability and versatility at the back. The Villa star can operate as a central defender or at right-back, giving any potential new club additional tactical flexibility

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “Konsa has been mentioned with a couple of clubs. What a signing he would be for Man United.

“A centre-back who can pass, who’s dominant in the air, gets you a goal from a set piece, just like Steve Bruce.”

Any potential deal is expected to prove difficult. Aston Villa have little reason to sell one of their most important defenders and would likely demand a significant transfer fee before considering an approach.

For Manchester United, the possibility of beating Arsenal to Konsa could represent a major statement of intent. The defender’s age means he could provide immediate experience while still having several years at the highest level ahead of him.

ARSENAL‘s long-standing interest means competition for his signature could become intense if Villa decide to listen to offers. For now, though, there is no indication that either club has reached an agreement for the defender.
