Darwin Nunez still has an “unresolved” future as the former Liverpool star continues to be linked with a reunion with Mohamed Salah. Nunez left the Reds last summer to complete a permanent transfer to Al Hilal worth £46million, but could be on the move again this window.
However, the Uruguay international’s time in the Saudi Pro League has been surrounded by uncertainty, with continuous rumours that a departure could be on the cards, either back in January or this summer.
Reports have emerged in recent days claiming that Trabzonspor could be a new destination for Nunez, which would see a reunion with his former Liverpool teammate, Salah.
The Egyptian left Anfield earlier this summer and has gone on to complete a permanent move to the Turkish Super Lig club.
It was reported earlier this month that an agreement had been reached between Trabzonspor and Nunez have already reached an agreement over a transfer, with the Turkish outfit set to hold talks with Al Hilal to complete the deal.
Journalist Yunus Emre Sel has reported that Nunez is yet to resolve the “issues” that the former Liverpool striker has with Al Hilal, which is preventing the transfer from being completed.
It remains unclear at this point if Nunez’s prospective move to Trabzonspor would be on a season-long loan or on a permanent deal.
Another report from Sel has claimed that Nunez has expressed a desire to join Trabzonspor, but the aforementioned “issues” need to be resolved before a transfer can take place.

Nunez featured at the World Cup for Uruguay but did not score in any of his three appearances at the tournament, where his country was knocked out at the group stages.
The 27-year-old made 24 appearances for Al Hilal during his debut season in Saudi Arabia, scoring nine goals along the way and looks increasingly likely to leave for a new club.
During his time at Liverpool, Nunez made 143 appearances and scored 40 goals, and played a key role in helping the Reds win the Premier League title during his final season on Merseyside.
