£100M price set: Chelsea will do summer deal and get massive deal done!

Chelsea have reportedly placed a valuation of close to £100 million on Pedro Neto as Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal explore a potential move for the Portugal international.

Neto’s future has become one of the more intriguing transfer situations surrounding Chelsea this summer, with Al Hilal understood to have genuine interest in the winger. Manchester City and other Premier League clubs have also been linked, although Chelsea’s asking price has previously been viewed as a major stumbling block.

The reported valuation represents a significant increase on the figure previously associated with Neto. Chelsea paid around £54m to sign the winger from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2024, meaning a £100m sale would represent an enormous return on their investment.

Chelsea are not believed to be actively trying to force Neto out of Stamford Bridge, particularly with new head coach Xabi Alonso having used him prominently during pre-season. The 26-year-old has also demonstrated his versatility, with Alonso experimenting with him in a wing-back role as well as his more familiar attacking positions.

However, the emergence of Al Hilal could change the situation considerably if the Saudi club are prepared to meet Chelsea’s valuation.

Opinion: Chelsea Have to Take £100m

There is no denying that Neto is an important player, but if Al Hilal actually put £100m on the table, CHELSEA would have an offer that is extremely difficult to turn down.

Neto has plenty to offer. His pace, direct running, crossing ability and versatility make him a valuable option, while his ability to operate on either flank gives Alonso tactical flexibility. He also produced five Premier League goals and six assists last season.

Chelsea could potentially replace Neto with younger attacking talent while using a huge transfer fee to strengthen other areas of the squad. The Blues have already invested heavily in their squad, and a nine-figure sale would provide significant financial flexibility.

There would naturally be concerns about losing an experienced and versatile attacker, especially with the season approaching. Yet Chelsea’s squad contains considerable attacking depth, meaning Neto’s departure would not necessarily leave Alonso without alternatives.

If Al Hilal genuinely meet the £100m valuation, CHELSEA should shake hands.
