Napoli have asked for information about Nicolas Jackson as the race for the Chelsea striker continues to grow before the transfer window closes.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Serie A side have included Jackson among the centre-forwards they are assessing, adding another potential destination for the 25-year-old.
Chelsea are understood to value Jackson at around £60million, with Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Aston Villa also having monitored his situation this summer.
Napoli entering the picture could strengthen Chelsea’s hand.

Napoli eye second Chelsea deal after Badiashile agreement
Napoli and Chelsea are already doing significant business.
The Italian club have agreed a season-long loan for Benoit Badiashile, including a £2.6m fee and an option worth around £23m, as Xabi Alonso reduces his defensive numbers.
Jackson could now become the subject of another negotiation between the clubs.
There is no indication yet that Napoli have submitted an offer, and asking for information remains an early stage of any potential transfer.
However, the addition of another interested club matters for Chelsea.
ReadChelsea reported earlier on Tuesday that Atletico Madrid are considering Jackson as a potential option amid uncertainty surrounding Julian Alvarez. Atletico’s interest remains preliminary rather than advanced.
Chelsea could finally get competition for Jackson
Chelsea have so far faced one major obstacle in their attempts to resolve Jackson’s future: interested clubs have not met their valuation.
That could change if multiple sides remain in the race heading towards the final weeks of the window.
Jackson was left out of Chelsea’s final pre-season friendly against Real Sociedad, while Joao Pedro scored twice and finished the summer with seven goals.
His position in Alonso’s attacking hierarchy therefore remains uncertain.
Napoli have only requested information for now.
But with Atletico already watching and Chelsea seeking around £60m, another serious suitor could be exactly what the Blues need to turn interest into a genuine bidding race.
