Chelsea could miss out on millions if they don't offload Pedro Neto before the transfer window slams shut. The 26-year-old winger faces a somewhat uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, and the Blues need to strike while the iron is hot.

football.london understands that Neto has caught the attention of Al-Hilal this summer, as well as a handful of Premier League clubs. It's said that Chelsea are yet to receive any formal offers for the Portugal international, but they're aware of the interest.

Although the Blues are not actively looking to sell Neto, whom they view as an important player for Xabi Alonso, higher-ups at Stamford Bridge are prepared to discuss a potential deal if the price is right. It's understood that they've priced the Portuguese ace at close to £100m, pointing to the inflated market.

Real Madrid recently forked out £120m to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, setting the benchmark high for wide players this summer, while Liverpool have been quoted £145m by Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola.

Chelsea must snap the hand off any potential suitor willing to pay a fee in the region of their asking price. Not only would the Blues boast a tremendous profit on the £54m they paid Wolves for Neto back in August 2024, but it would also be a market opportunity like no other.

According to Transfermarkt, Neto currently has a market value of €60m (£51.3m). The report claims that the winger's stock is at an all-time high; it climbed from €50m (£42.8m) in May 2025 to €55m (£47m) in October 2025 after helping Chelsea win the Conference League and the Club World Cup.

It then spiked in December 2025 to €60m (£51.3m), where it's remained ever since despite some disappointing performances toward the end of last season. Although Neto offers a great deal of possession, stretching the opposition backline and aggressive pressing, his end product leaves a lot to be desired.

Last season, the Portuguese ace managed only 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 games across all competitions. It doesn't look bad on paper, but it's important to acknowledge that he averaged about 72 minutes per appearance, but contributed to a goal every 188 minutes.

For a team gunning for a place in the Champions League, Neto has fallen short of expectations, giving Chelsea every right to want to cash in. Diomande is currently valued at €90m (£77m) by Transfermarkt, yet Real Madrid forked out £120m for his signature.

Using the same logic, adjusted for winger inflation this summer, the Portuguese ace should be priced at about £80m. Still, at such a fee, the Blues would bank a healthy profit.

If Chelsea do not strike while the iron is hot, they risk missing out on the chance to capitalise on an inflated market. Of course, Neto could improve his performances, thus boosting his stock, or the market could inflate even more, but it's a gamble nonetheless.
