Chelsea supporters are confident they are in for a far stronger season in 2026/27 than what came in the previous campaign.
The Blues are looking to recover from a dismal 2025/26 where they finished 10th, missing out on any form of European football in the process.
Many believe this will actually be an advantage for Xabi Alonso, with the new manager not having to deal with midweek games throughout the campaign like Manchester United enjoyed last season.

When asking where fans believed we were going to finish in the table, the majority voted for either champions or 3rd-5th, which would see them return to the Champions League.
One user said: “I reckon Man City and Arsenal are on a different level, but third is easily achievable with some consistency.”

Another added: “I’ve gone 3-5, but I really think it could easily be second given how much has changed across the league.”
A third stated: “One game a week is a massive advantage. They could easily finish second. Anything below third should be unacceptable.”
Another claimed: “Anywhere from 2nd-5th, but my gut says 4th-5th. Just think it’s the first year of a new project. Think that would still be a positive.
Finally, one user said: “I’ve got Arsenal winning the league and Chelsea 2nd. Liverpool are a mess, City have lost Pep, Rodri, Silva and Stones. Spurs are Spurs. Man U have Carrick.”
Chelsea’s Premier League season gets underway with a West London derby against Fulham, with Wesley Fofana suspended for the game.
Alonso will be keen to become the first manager since Thomas Tuchel to win an opening day league game for the Blues, with them on a run of three without a victory.
It will be the first time the West London derby has taken place on the opening day of the season, with the Blues looking for revenge after their 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage last season.
