The future of former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has taken a fresh turn
The future of Darwin Nunez has taken another turn after fresh reports linked the former Liverpool striker with a potential move away from Al-Hilal this summer.
The Uruguay international has attracted interest from Turkey, with Trabzonspor among the clubs reportedly exploring a deal for the forward. However, a move to the Turkish side is far from agreed.

Fabrizio Romano has now clarified that Nunez has not reached an agreement with either Besiktas or Trabzonspor.
The Italian journalist also revealed that no flight had been scheduled, with the striker still considering his options in Saudi Arabia and Europe.
“Darwin Núñez never had any sort of agreement done with Besiktas or Trabzonspor. No flight was scheduled, as Darwin was still assessing options in Saudi and Europe,” Romano posted on X.
The update came after journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Al-Diriyah are working on a straight loan deal for Nunez from Al-Hilal.
“Saudi side Al-Diriyah are working on a straight loan for Darwin Nunez from Al-Hilal. Hilal looking to offload Nunez, who has also drawn interest from Trabzonspor,” Jacobs reported.
The potential move would give Al-Hilal another option as they look to reshape their attack. Nunez remains under contract with the Saudi club, but they are reportedly open to sending him out on loan.
Al-Hilal are also considering changes involving Karim Benzema while pursuing Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
Watkins has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Saudi club, although Villa remain reluctant to sell and the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement.
Benzema’s uncertain future could further influence Al-Hilal’s plans, particularly as the club continues to pursue Watkins and considers its options in attack.
Nunez joined Al-Hilal from Liverpool last summer, but his future has now become increasingly uncertain.
Trabzonspor remain interested, while Al-Diriyah have emerged as another possible destination as the Saudi club weighs its next move.
