Arsenal are planning a double Manchester United transfer raid on youngsters James Scanlon and Habeeb Ogunneye. Mikel Arteta's side have been targeting the likes of Julian Alvarez and Victor Osimhen, but they're also looking to safeguard the future.
In their vision, Scanlon, 19, may be on the wing while 20-year-old Habeeb Ogunnyeye occupies a space in the north Londoners' backline. While Bruno Guimaraes' arrival may have attracted most of the headlines, they have also been aggressively signing young prospects.
Moreover, this purported transfer quest also proceeds United's young player raid on the Gunners, which saw them sign both Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi. As well as the Red Devils duo, Arsenal are also confident about securing three more signings.
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa is close to a move to the Emirates Stadium, while Cardiff City's youngest ever player Axel Donczew and Liverpool prospect Vincent Joseph are also close to moving to the Emirates Stadium, according to The Telegraph.
Crystal Palace's 16-year-old talent Mylo Bernard is also believed to be on Arsenal's transfer list. The Gunners have already signed Matthew Upson's son and former Tottenham prospect Elijah Upson this summer.

The aforementioned signings represent a busy transfer window for the Gunners. Things could be about to get even more exciting, with Osimhen and Alvarez still on their radar.
The latter will not feature in Atletico Madrid's La Liga opener against Malaga, as manager Diego Simeone suggested he has been unsettled by the transfer activity of the summer.

The Argentine said: "From a sports perspective, we want to look out for the person, the player, so he can continue to uphold his reputation. We don't see him playing in this game. I hope that over the next four days, he'll be closer to where we want him to be."
As well as the young players mentioned, the Gunners have also wrapped up moves for Christos Tzolis, Illan Meslier and Piero Hincapie, whose loan move last season was made permanent this summer.
The spending will likely not stop there as Gunners chief executive Richard Garlick made it clear they are open to make more signings.

He told Sky Sports: "We said at the start of this season we're about to embark on that we're not going to stand still and pat ourselves on the back and say, 'Well done, job done, nothing else to do'. We want to move forward - the best clubs are always moving forward.
"You can see we've already invested in the squad this season, and if the right opportunity arises, then we will look to strengthen in all areas. The window's open for the next couple of weeks, and if there are players that are going to come in and move Arsenal forward, then we will look at that.
