Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Liverpool for the signing of Curtis Jones.
Curtis Jones spent the summer at the centre of transfer speculation, with Inter Milan consistently linked as the club most determined to sign him.
The Serie A champions first showed interest in January, and manager Cristian Chivu has since made the 25-year-old a priority target for his midfield.

Jones enters the final year of his Liverpool contract, which runs until June 2027.
That situation has left the Reds facing a decision this summer: sell now for a fee, or risk losing him for nothing next year.
According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, Jones agreed personal terms with Inter as far back as February. The one remaining obstacle was a fee acceptable to both clubs, with Liverpool initially holding out for around €40 million.
Inter’s move for Jones was also tied to other business in Milan. The club needed to offload Davide Frattesi before pushing forward, and that piece fell into place when Frattesi agreed a switch to Lazio, freeing up both space in the squad and funds to spend.
Jones missed Liverpool’s final two pre-season friendlies against Como, having also sat out the game against Monaco with what Andoni Iraola described as a hip issue.
The timing fuelled talk that the player was being managed away from involvement as talks over his future intensified.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan have reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool to sign Jones. The package is worth €35 million, and Inter have also finalised terms directly with the player.
Jones is set to undergo a medical as the move heads toward completion, Romano reports.
Barring a late setback, the transfer will end his career at Anfield, where he progressed through the academy and made his first-team debut in 2019.
He leaves having made more than 200 appearances for Liverpool, contributing 22 goals and 25 assists across his time with the club. He was part of the squad that won the 2019-20 Premier League title.
For Inter, signing Jones fits a wider trend of recruiting from English football this summer. The club has already brought in John Stones from Manchester City and Djed Spence from Tottenham, both squad members at the 2026 World Cup.
Liverpool are expected to assess their midfield options once the deal is finalised, with Iraola’s current group including Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
