Aston Villa are keen to strike a deal with Chelsea over a transfer for Tosin Adarabioyo, as Ezri Konsa edges closer to a move to Arsenal.
Having already lost Morgan Rogers in a £117million move to Stamford Bridge, as well as Lucas Digne to Paris Saint-Germain and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United, Unai Emery will hope to retain a good portion of his core squad for the new season.
It's a widely important term for the Villans, who will have to juggle their Premier League duties with Champions League football, as well as domestic cup competitions.
However, it appears as though Konsa will not be a part of the team he has spent the last seven years with.
Arsenal are on the lookout for reinforcement in the heart of their defence as a result of William Saliba sustaining a back injury which will keep him sidelined for an extended period of time.
And it is now understood that Konsa has been highlighted as priority No. 1, with the Gunners agreeing a £51m plus add-ons move for the 28-year-old, who is set to undergo a medical on Thursday.
It is now reported that Villa already have a successor to Konsa in their sights, however, in the form of Chelsea talent, Tosin.

As per Sky Sports, Emery's team are interested in exploring a move for the 28-year-old, who has struggled for consistent gametime since his arrival in West London two years ago.
While no concrete approach has been made just yet, it is said that Villa are considering Tosin, among others, to fill the void that Konsa will leave behind.
Whoever the Villans decide on, it goes without saying that they would be wise to conduct business quickly.
Thousands of Aston Villa fans upgraded their matchday last season. This is how they did it.
