**Liverpool are reportedly still interested in signing Real Madrid forward Endrick, as the Reds continue to scour the market for new attackers.**
Talks remain ongoing for PSG stars Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, but Liverpool appear to be setting up contingencies in case something derails their current plans.
Barcola is absolutely Liverpool’s priority target, but several reports in the last week have suggested that a deal to sign Mbaye might not happen, and in this hypothetical, Endrick will become a more serious option.
[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/real-madrid/20260818/1004217287/relacionan-endrick-liverpool.html) reports: _“Endrick, 20, could leave Real Madrid for Liverpool. The Brazilian is among the strikers Liverpool are interested in as a replacement for Salah._
_The options to replace Salah are Bradley Barcola, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Yankuba Minteh. Now, Endrick has been added to the list. In fact, this same outlet reports that Liverpool is willing to pay €65m (£55m) for the striker._
_“Endrick, for now, remains at Real Madrid undergoing specific training to prevent injuries. Mourinho is counting on him, although with Mbappé, Diomande, and the signing of Espí, Endrick’s chances of playing time are slim.”_
Liverpool need depth, but is Endrick the right option?
------------------------------------------------------
Endrick is best as a centre-forward, but he can operate to great effect anywhere across the front line, even as a winger. Last season, he scored eight and assisted 8 for Real Madrid and on loan with Lyon.
As a striker, he is very dynamic but is not your traditional No.9. He’s best when allowed to drift into spaces he identifies mid-game, where his low centre of gravity and explosive speed are most effective.
On the wing, he can operate on both flanks but is not nearly as effective as he is centrally, where his powerful finishing is most useful.
The 20-year-old is very talented, but there are some question marks over his injury record last season. In May 2025, he suffered a hamstring injury that ruled him out for nine games across two months. Then, in September, he suffered a thigh injury, missing six games across one month.
Real Madrid have the young forward on a tailor-made injury rehab program to prevent against further injuries this season, but it remains to be seen if Liverpool will decide to take a chance on him this summer.
