Liverpool Aren’t Finished: Two More Midfield Targets Emerge

Liverpool are continuing to explore their options in midfield as the transfer window enters its final stages.

According to **Matt Thielen**, the Reds have shown **exploratory interest in Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller and Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams**.

At this stage, however, **Adams is viewed as the more attainable option** should Liverpool decide to enter the market for another midfielder.

And with Curtis Jones reportedly on his way to Inter Milan, this is certainly a situation worth watching.

Liverpool don’t necessarily have to sign another midfielder.

The squad already contains quality options, including Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.

But losing Jones would reduce the depth available to Andoni Iraola, particularly with Liverpool competing in the Premier League, Champions League and domestic cups.

It therefore makes sense for the club to investigate what is available.

Adams would offer Liverpool something slightly different.

The American international is capable of playing in a deeper midfield role and brings **energy, athleticism and defensive aggression**.

Those qualities could be particularly useful in Iraola’s system.

Liverpool want to press aggressively and recover the ball quickly, but they also need players capable of protecting the defence when that press is beaten.

Adams could potentially provide that balance.

Stiller represents a different type of midfielder.

The Stuttgart star is comfortable receiving the ball from deep and helping his team control possession and dictate the tempo.

That could give Iraola another option when Liverpool need to dominate games against opponents sitting deep.

However, according to **Matt Thielen**, Adams is currently considered the more attainable option if Liverpool decide to make a move.

That’s ultimately the biggest question.

Liverpool have quality in midfield, but the demands of Iraola’s football could make **depth extremely important**.

The manager wants intensity and energy throughout matches.

That means rotation will be essential.

If Jones leaves, bringing in another midfielder could prevent Liverpool from being caught short when injuries, suspensions and fixture congestion inevitably arrive.

The encouraging thing is that Liverpool appear to be **exploring rather than panicking**.

They’re looking at different profiles and assessing what is available.

If Iraola believes his existing options are sufficient, Liverpool don’t need to force a deal.

But if the manager wants another midfielder, Tyler Adams could now be one of the names to watch closely.

One offers control and technical quality.

The other provides energy and defensive security.

And with Fabrizio Romano already expecting Liverpool to be among Europe’s busiest clubs during the final days of the window, **I wouldn’t rule out another midfielder arriving at Anfield.**
