COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Peyton Watson is no longer a Denver Nugget.
It appeared to be a messy off-season between Watson’s camp and the Nuggets but now his future has been sorted, and P-Wat is heading to Cleveland.
Its a three-way deal, here’s the breakdown:
Denver gets: a first round pick in 2031 and a second round pick in 2032.
Cleveland gets: Peyton Watson.
LA Clippers get: Max Strus.
Charania reports, in Cleveland Watson will sign a four-year $88 million deal.
Peyton “swatson” Watson was one of the Nuggets’ best defenders. At 23-years old he’s coming off a standout season. But again, the two parties couldn’t agree on the next step, financially. And it’s led to a divorce.
