Aston Villa have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Tosin Adarabioyo, with Chelsea already making their stance clear. The out‑of‑favour defender is being lined up as a replacement for Ezri Konsa, who is set to complete his move to Arsenal this week.
Arsenal have agreed a deal worth £51million plus add‑ons for Konsa, and the England international has already said his goodbyes at Bodymoor Heath. He is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday, according to The Athletic.
With Konsa set to follow Morgan Rogers, Lucas Digne and Youri Tielemans out of the door, Villa are believed to have identified Tosin as a candidate to fill the gap at centre‑back.

As per Sky Sports, Unai Emery's side are keen to explore a deal for the 28‑year‑old, who has struggled for regular minutes since arriving in west London two years ago.
While no formal approach has been made, Tosin is among several options Villa are considering to replace Konsa.
Should Villa choose to push ahead, they'll be encouraged by Chelsea's stance.
The defender has been placed on a list of potential departures and is part of a group of up to 12 players training separately at Cobham.
Tosin has even been shifted from the No.4 shirt to No.38, and while Chelsea are open to offloading him, the defender's valuation remains unclear.
He has been working alongside Liam Delap, Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk as the club searches for solutions.
