Chelsea fans who play EA Sports FC will not have to wait too much longer for the franchise’s next release.
EA Sports FC 27 is dropping on 25 September this year, and the ratings that have been given to Chelsea players will interest supporters.
In EA Sports FC 26, Cole Palmer was the joint highest-rated player in the Blues’ squad alongside Moises Caicedo. Both footballers were given overalls of 87.
However, in the forthcoming game, both men have been given decreases, with Palmer’s pushing him off top spot.

Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer make top three
Palmer is still in the top three with a player rating of 85, as shared on Chelsea’s official club website.
But Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have both been handed overalls of 86, making the South American duo the two best players in Chelsea’s EA Sports FC 27 squad.
Of course, there is still a possibility of Palmer moving up to second before the transfer window closes.
Manchester City are interested in signing Fernandez and have not given up on landing him despite Chelsea’s 5pm deadline passing last Friday.
City’s message to Enzo Maresca is a simple one: they are not going to give up on bringing Fernandez to the Etihad.
While Fernandez’s match rating has gone up, it is not a total shock to see Palmer and Caicedo have a bit of a decrease.

Caicedo started last season strongly before fading, while Palmer was not at his best throughout. What is perhaps a surprise, though, is Joao Pedro only receiving a rating of 83. Alongside Fernandez, he was Chelsea’s best player in the 2025/26 campaign.
The Brazilian was the Blues’ top scorer, netting 20 times in all competitions. Chelsea fans will feel that he should be much higher than 83.
If Pedro and his teammates want to see significant increases for EA Sports FC 28, they need to have a much better season this time around. With Xabi Alonso at the helm, we are going to back them to do just that!
